Apple-Fennel Juice

February 09, 2011 By: fruitmonster Category: Juice Recipes

Now here’s a juice that contains something that most of you have probably not eaten before:  Fennel!  Fennel is a vegetable with long green edible stalks that will produce beautiful yellow flowers in the spring time.  The bulb at the bottom of the stalks is the section consumed more often.  Fennel has medicinal properties, has a licorice-esque flavor and is on of the main ingredients in absinthe!  It’s crazy stuff, and it’s crazy flavorful.  So far, my favorite thing to juice it with is apples!  Fennel can be found in the produce section of most grocery stores, so go grab some and start juicing!

The Apple-Fennel Juice Recipe:

3 large/4 small apples, seeds removed

1/3 of a fennel plant, meaning cut 1/2 of the bulb and juice the attached green stalks!
